Barristers for a Better Bytown

Home

Barristers for a Better Bytown is a registered charity focused on raising funds to support charitable causes in the Ottawa area with projects and initiatives that help at risk children and youth, homeless or vulnerable persons and others in need in our community.

In the past, our current directors were involved in events which raised money to build a basketball court at the Ottawa Community Housing complex in Sandy Hill and to help build the Charlie Bowins Skate Park at McNabb Park.  In 2016 we raised $9000 which supported the Tamarack Trades Training Centre, The West End Youth Motivators Basketball Tournament and the Ottawa Mission Hospice.  We also volunteered our time at the Parkdale Food Centre with the Soup Sisters and distributed snowsuits with the Snowsuit Fund.

Our directors and members are lawyers, who are members of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and Judges. We are committed to raising funds for local organizations which help those most in need in our community.

To submit an idea for a project or initiative for consideration for funding, please contact any of our Directors or Executive.
